As the eye of Gori stopped flowing, the city of Jeddah, under the pressure of a huge water crisis, was in 1270 Ah, which prompted one of Jeddah's merchants (Faraj Yusr), to promote fundraising, and subsidies from wealthy Jeddah, its elders and merchants, to repair the eye, until it overflowed again and continued in the Saakia al-Abbad, the people of Jeddah, And her visitors for another thirty-four years, until she was neglected and weakened, she ceased again in the year (1302 Ah-1884 CE).
